Juana Flores

Juana and her husband, Rafael, had been divers for years before a traffic accident left her as a quadriplegic.  Now they are diving together again and loving it.  They are also the parents of two lovely girls who will be divers soon.

Timothy Jones

Airman Timothy was injured while serving as a mechanic in the Top Gun program in the Navy which resulted in a spinal chord injury.  He plays quad rugby while also attending college and raising three active children with his wife, Melissa. Tim was a part of the Cayman Brac trip in 2008.

Nathan Gonzalez

Sergeant Nathan is a retired marine whose duty was to protect US Embassies abroad.  Nate loved diving then and after an automobile accident he thought he would never dive again.  He is now a happy dive pirate living in Boerne, TX and went to Cayman Brac in 2008.

Leland Walker

Seaman Leland Walker was injured in 1997 in basic training and was certified on the Brac trip in 2007.  Leland lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his sister, Muzette, who was also one of his dive buddies along with Ollie Waters and Stacey Minton. Leland never quits smiling while he dives.

Sean Barr

Sean Barr

Lance Corporal Sean was injured in 1994 and subsequently attended Texas A&M where he earned a degree in Ocean Engineering.  He is now a Senior Project Engineer in Subsea Construction at Acergy.  Sean was certified at the Cayman Brac trip in 2007, his dive buddies were Jennifer Reynolds, Mark Scott and Barbara Thompson.

Shawn Unruh

  Lance Corporal Shawn was a marine in the Gulf War but had to retire after his inury in a one car accident in 1995.  Shawn and his wife attended the 2006 trip to the Bahamas and has continued diving with Dive Pirates both in 2007 and 2008  

Reveca Torres

Reveca is a costume designer in Chicago and was in an automobile accident in 1995 that resulted in a spinal cord injury.  In addition to her work, she is active with the Shriners Hospital in Chicago.  She traveled with us to dive in 2006 in the Bahamas.

Chris Pulley

Chris was diagnosed with a spinal muscular atrophy disease at the age of 12 but is leading a full life including a BBA in Finance from the University of North Texas, working as a Financial Analyst at Bank of America in Charlotte, NC and now scuba diving.  Chris and his wife Jennifer attended the 2006…
