Traci Bryan

Traci Bryan Injured in a car accident, Traci Bryan has been a quadriplegic since. She owns and maintains a boutique in her hometown of Rowlett, TX. Joined on the trip by her sister, parents and new paraplegic friend, Domonic Corradin.  If Traci had a pirate name, it would be “cupcake”.

Alan Bailey

Alan Bailey Nearly 30 years ago, Alan Bailey suffered an injury. Now, he is a very active grandfather, business man, rugby player and a quadriplegic. However, it never stopped his enjoyment. His wife and two daughters joined him and talked him into wearing this lovely Ethel Merman dive attire.

Juana Flores

Juana Flores Juana Flores and her husband, Rafael, had been divers for years before a traffic accident left her as a quadriplegic. Now they are diving together again and loving it.  They are also the parents of two lovely girls who will be divers soon.

Timothy Jones

Airman Timothy Jones was wounded while serving as a mechanic in the Top Gun program in the Navy. This resulted in a spinal chord injury.  He plays quad rugby while also attending college and raising three active children with his wife, Melissa. Tim joined us on part of the Cayman Brac trip in 2008.

Nathan Gonzalez

Sergeant Nathan Gonzalez, a retired marine, had a duty to protect US Embassies abroad.  Nate loved diving then and after an automobile accident he thought he would never dive again.  He is now a happy dive pirate living in Boerne, TX and went to Cayman Brac in 2008.

Leland Walker

Seaman Leland Walker sustained an injury in 1997 in basic training. Leland was certified on the Brac trip in 2007. He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his sister, Muzette, who was also one of his dive buddies along with Ollie Waters and Stacey Minton. Leland never quits smiling while he dives.

Sean Barr

Sean Barr

Lance Corporal Sean Barr sustained an injury in 1994. Subsequently, he attended Texas A&M where he earned a degree in Ocean Engineering. Now, a Senior Project Engineer in Subsea Construction at Acergy, Sean was certified at the Cayman Brac trip in 2007. His dive buddies were Jennifer Reynolds, Mark Scott and Barbara Thompson.

Shawn Unruh

Lance Corporal Shawn Unruh was a marine in the Gulf War. He had to retire after his inury in a one-car accident in 1995. Shawn and his wife attended the 2006 trip to the Bahamas and has continued diving with Dive Pirates both in 2007 and 2008  

Reveca Torres

Costume designer in Chicago, Reveca Torres, was in an automobile accident in 1995 resulting in a spinal cord injury. In addition to her work, she is active with the Shriners Hospital in Chicago. She traveled with us to dive in 2006 in the Bahamas.

Brandon Sommerville

Brandon Sommerville received his injury in a high school wrestling accident in 2003. However, that has never slowed him down. He is very active and is attending college in Indiana. He traveled with Dive Pirates to the Bahamas in 2006.
