Southern Dive Center
Southern Dive Center is a locally family owned and operated dive shop. Located in the downtown area of Statesboro, Georgia. Owner Joseph Glenn has over 10 years of diving experience and several hundred recorded dives, from offshore diving to cave exploration.
Joseph holds many certifications including Open Water Instructor, Scubability Instructor, Search and Recovery Instructor, and Dive Master Instructor. Joseph will soon achieve the credentials for the highest level of SCUBA instructor that can be reached within the Scuba Diving International program. Joseph was also the Outstanding Instructor Award from Scuba Diving International. All programs taught through the Southern Dive Center are certified SDI (Scuba Diving International) programs that are recognized worldwide.
Joseph is was a career Firefighter with the Statesboro Fire Department. He had been in the fire service for 9 years. However, Joseph pursued his small business dreams opening Southern Dive Center in 2016 and retiring from the fire service in 2017. He and his wife, Haley, make their home in Statesboro with their son, Parks.
