Strother Norman
Strother Norman is your typical junior high student, glad to be out of elementary school, loving the independence of changing classes, etc. He has always loved the water, and at his young age, he noticed the water leveled the playing field with everyone else, giving him the freedom to move and weightlessness. He has tried snorkeling in the past, so why not scuba dive!
Strother’s father Darin is a certified PADI diver, and he is looking forward to learning how to be an adaptive buddy for his son, a great activity he and the whole family can enjoy together.
When Strother was 5 years old he was in a car accident. That accident caused a spinal cord injury at T2-T3, resulting in paraplegia. A resilient young man, he has taken on wheelchair basketball and loves the outdoors, especially fishing. Strother’s brother is not about to be left behind, so the whole family looks to train and prepare for an upcoming Dive Pirates trip.
