Steve Holbert
Retired Corporal Steve Holbert, US Marines, joined the Marines right out of high school at age 17. He spent four years serving his country as an avionics technician. He then left the marines and continued the same occupation as a civilian. All the while pursuing his dream of becoming a pilot. Eventually working his way up to the position of Captain at Continental Airlines.
While riding his dirt bike at the track he cleared a jump only to find another biker crashed on the other side. He unavoidably collided with the other bike, causing a complete spinal cord injury resulting in paraplegia. Now active in his local PVA chapter, Steve enjoys competing in wheelchair games and continues an active life. His buddy is Deanna Essmiller and they trained with RAID Instructor Jean Cearfoss.
